WELCOME PARENTS to Grade 2!
I wanted to send a quick email before the first
day of school to not only introduce myself but to provide you with information
and reminders before the start of school.
First, I am thrilled to be back at work after a
fun & relaxing summer! I can’t wait to be part of your child’s 2nd
grade year. It will truly be a fantastic year together.
Second, supply drop-off day is Tuesday, September
6th @ 4 pm. Please make sure your child puts his/her supplies in their
desk. There is also a surprise waiting on their desk they may take home
& enjoy! & a small homework assignment for your child to complete
to be returned to school by Friday, September 9th.
Third, we will have snack everyday between 1:30-1:45
pm (including the first day of school). Please be sure your child brings
in a healthy
snack. In the case a child may forget
his/her snack – I
will usually have something extra in the classroom or they may go to the nurse
to get something to eat. I however will
NOT provide snack for a child if they: a) don’t like what was provided from
home or b) they are still hungry. Your children have recess at 11 am & lunch
at 11:30-11:55 am –
please make sure they have a big breakfast & substantial snack to get them
through the morning & afternoon. As
always, they may have water on
their desk throughout the day.
Last, I have a created this classroom blog for us
this year. There is already a lot of information on the blog that might
help answer some questions before the first day of school. Please be
advised that there are still many updates
to be made.
